When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International airport, you will be taken up by a member of our team. And then you will be transferred to the Meru View Lodge. You will stay for two nights’ rest at Meru View Lodge before your climb begins. On the foothills of Mt.Meru, the Meru View Lodge is set in a peaceful environment.

You must meet with your guide one day before your climb to briefly get all the climb information. Your guide will answer all your questions and check the gear. At Arusha National Park, we can arrange a walk just for game viewing. Also, you can visit Arusha town for any remaining shopping or a meal.

Accommodation Before & After Your Kilimanjaro Climb

This is an excellent place to retrieve after a long flight, where you can enjoy peaceful gardens with a pool, comfortable, airy rooms, and fantastic food.

In 11 individual cottages, 15 guest rooms are situated where you can take advantage of gardens, a private patio, and a terrace to enjoy your morning coffee.

All rooms are ensuite with various facilities like shower, toilet, tea, coffee, etc. The fantastic restaurant uses fresh, local produce to cater to all dietary requirements. Also, we provide free Wi-Fi, which will keep you in touch with your friends and family.

You can arrange for the friendly staff to launder your climbing gear and clean your muddy hiking boots, ready for your onward journey after your climb.

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is in Northern Tanzania and is the home of Mt. Meru, the second-highest peak in Africa. Sixty kilometers from Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru, is a stratovolcano formed approximately at the same time as Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley. Game and bird life are abundant, and guided walks (with an armed ranger) are the best way to explore this park.

Mount Meru

Trekking Kilimanjaro is an excellent pre-acclimatization for those who want to climb the great Kilimanjaro. This fantastic trek takes approximately 3-4 days to climb the 14,980ft summit, where you can also explore spectacular views.

Mt Meru is not a technical peak, so you’ll need no climbing gear or mountaineering experience to reach the summit safely.
